Astro-Photography
Modern smartphones have been getting much better at taking astrophotography images in the last few years. Although pictures won’t turn out as clear and detailed as a dedicated camera such as a DSLR or Mirrorless model from major camera brands, it can still be fun to play around with the equipment you have and see what it’s capable of. Make sure your phones have all updates installed!
iPhones

iPhones 12 and newer have night mode built in so no need for extra apps. Just open your camera in a dark setting and follow the steps below. If you have a brand new iphone it might have a slightly different layout, in this case just click and hold the night mode symbol until the pop up menu appears and select max.

Andriods
This can be a bit more complicated but pretty much all andriods have a pro mode option in the camera if you navigate to “more” next to the photo | video along on the bottom. This lets you adjust shutter speed to 30 seconds and select ISO (higher = brighter)
Samsungs have “Expert Raw” that you can download, this gives you the option for extreme long exposures up to 12 minutes. Just select the symbol that looks like a constellation.
Pixels have a night sight mode that automatically detects the tripod and change the shutter button from a moon to stars when super still, this will enable 4 minute exposures.
